My mother, Norma White, was going to meet John and me in Vienna on June 1, but she passed away on November 19, 2011. She had successfully battled multiple myeloma for 17 years, an astonishing feat. In her honor, we will be using the bike trip as an opportunity to raise money for research into this dread blood cancer.
